In-Game Server Rules1. Roleplay Scenes
Be respectful to others and think before you type. Please refrain from being hurtful or abusive towards others especially towards staff members who are here to help you. Bullying will not be tolerated.
Roleplay at all times. You are not allowed to break the server rules because you think someone else did. You should not in any way attempt to stall, void, or disrupt a roleplay, unless otherwise instructed by an administrator. Examples:
- Refusing to roleplay, or /Q’ing in a roleplay scene, with Law Enforcement because( In your opinion) being arrested for no reason.
- Refusing to roleplay with other players, after making a /report, to wait until an administrator arrives.
If you are in a roleplay scene , of which has not been paused by an administrator, and another player attempts to speak with you in a OOCly manner(Using /b) in an attempt to stall, pause, or disrupt a scene, you may ignore them. These rules do not apply if an administrator is attempting to contact you, YOU MUST RESPOND. You must all times reply to an administrator’s message.

Going AFK during a roleplay scene is strictly forbidden. If you need to leave at anytime while involved in an active roleplay scene you must contact an administrator before leaving the game.
All chat including IC, OOC(/b), and /pm, must be in ENGLISH. Do not speak and in any other languages or use shortcuts such as(LOL,OMG etc.)

- OOC corruption within a faction is not allowed, however, IC corruption is allowed.
Allowed Corruption would be giving out MDC names, their addresses, trying to help cover up murders or disappearances.
Giving out any items however would be ban-able. (weapons from /duty, licenses etc. Anything faction specific or server spawned.).
2. Robbing & Scamming
Robbing is defined as using force or threaten to use force to take a person's possessions or money. Scamming is defined as agreeing to buy or sell a product or item and then refusing to pay or give it. Robbing and scamming are IC actions only and are strictly forbidden to be done OOC’ly.
All players involved in robberies or scams MUST BE LEVEL 3 OR HIGHER. There is no robbing limit so be wary of how much money you carry around with you. The maximum scamming limit is $40,000.

Killing a player while or after a robbery will be considered Deathmatching unless the player shows attitude or non-compliance. House, Businesses, and vehicle scams are not allowed.
3. Metagaming
Metagaming is defined as using Out Of Character(OOC) information In Character(IC) and is strictly forbidden. Asking someone to metagame for you is also against the rules. Players seeing doing this will be punished on both sides. This also includes any /me and /act. No /me or /act should state what other players cannot see, hear, touch, smell or taste.
Examples:
Don_Maroni reads Sarah_Jones OOC name tag and roleplays that he knows her.
Don_Maroni sends Sarah_Jones a /pm to tell her that he is being robbed somewhere.
Sarah_Jones then goes to Don’s house to help him when she did not know ICly he was being robbed.

Note: The Official Project States Role Play teamspeak is the only VoIP program that is approved to be used for IC chat. Law Enforcement factions along with the Los Santos Fire and Rescue, and official factions with an IC channel may use teamspeak for IC chat. SKYPE and other VoIP programs are strictly forbidden to be used and if caught administrative actions will be taken.
4. Powergaming
Powergaming is defined as performing actions that are not human like; forcing roleplay on other players without use a proper /act or /me response; making up actions that did not occur for your benefit; roleplaying actions which are not possible script wise so you may gain an unfair advantage.
Examples:

Getting up off of the ground after being tased or bean bagged by a police officer.
Forcing someone to RP being dead.
Roleplaying that items are not on you when script wise they are.

- Do not heal during any confrontations such as fights and shootouts.
- No advertisement may be done of any illegal activity, item or services through the inventory system.
- Any removal of a weapon must be RP’d with a proper /me. Binds may be used for quicker typing.
- Enforcement on duty of the San Andreas State Police. Police dogs are not considered equipment.
5. Deathmatching & Revenge Killing
Deathmatch is defined as killing another player without sufficient roleplay reasons and is not allowed. Provoking players and/or police also falls under this rule.
Revenge killing is the act of attempting to kill or attempt to kill the person who just killed you and is also not allowed. When your IC killed your memory is wiped of everything that led up to your death.

6. SA-MP Physics abuse
The following is forbidden to due to avoid any type of roleplay scenario
Bunnyhopping - The act of jumping repeatedly to move your character quicker.
Bike Hopping - Hopping around continuously or holding the spacebar to jump high on the BMX bike.
Chicken-Running - Running around in a zig-zag motion to avoid being hit by bullets, a taser and/or beanbag.
Ninja-jacking - Forcefully pulling players out of their vehicles with no roleplay.
Vehicle Surfing - Being on top of a vehicle to ride it instead of sitting inside the vehicle. The only amount of players in a car should equal what the car can carry.

Sultan Carries 4 people, so there should only be 4 people in the car.
You are allowed to have one person surfing on your bicycle as if they are on the pegs or handlebars of the bike.
7. Third Party Modifications
Modifications that give you any type of unfair advantage over other players are not allowed. If you question any type of modification or are unsure ask an administrator before installing the mod.

9. Accounts
Money farming is defined as transferring money between your accounts or to make a new account to transfer money to another account.
You may not at any time be online with both of your accounts, unless otherwise given permission by an administrator.

You are responsible for any activity on your account, if any items or money go missing while you give your passwords to other players. Staff is not responsible and not obligated to refund any accounts.

10. “Safe Zones”
The following areas are to be considered “safe zones” and no criminal act may occur while any player are at these area’s which would be realistically guarded.

San Andreas State Police Headquarters

11. Character Kill ( CK )
Character Kill (CK) is the method of killing your currently player and starting a new one. When you CK your old character becomes deleted and you start over completely fresh as if you were a new player. Items purchased with gold do not get reset and will carry over to the new character.
In order to CK another player, you need to have proper roleplaying reason for doing so. (e.g Betrayal of your faction)
- You're prohibited from performing a CK if you do not have permissions of the other player and a staff member (Every individual involved in the CK needs to be granted those permissions).
- You are not allowed to CK if you have scammed someone with in the last 72 hours.
- You are not allowed to CK if you have a open court case in progress against you.
12. Ban Evading
At no time may you use any type of VPN, proxy or other program to change your IP in order to regain access to the server after being banned or temp banned.
You may not create or use any other accounts while having an active ban on any of your characters. Doing so will only get those characters banned as well and your chances of being your ban being lifted lowered.

These rules apply to all services provided by Project States Roleplay including the server, teamspeak, and forum.
13. Roleplay Names
Celebrity names may not be used at any time. If an administrator states your name may not be used and you have already obtained level 2. Your name will be immediately changed at that time.
Surnames that are on the restricted surname may not be used by any player new or veteran unless specific approval has been given by the original name barer.
14. Properties
At any given time players may only own 4 properties. These properties range from houses to garages.
Players may use gold coins to purchase a 5th property spot.

After 10 days of inactivity a player's properties will be immediately sold and the currency used to purchase them refunded. Properties will not be refunded before the 10 day time span.
At no point may players “Log to Keep” their items. This means that players that go inactive but “Log In” before the 10 day period is up in order to show as being active to prevent the properties from being sold. All player Log In’s are monitored and if a player is seen doing this. All his/her items will be immediately sold and a refund issued.
